Internal Wall Insulation
Not all homes can have external wall insulation due to local council and building regulations. Therefore, internal wall insulation is a very popular choice for owners of older Victorian dated properties.
Here at SG Insulation, we specialise in this type of insulation. We have insulated thousands of these properties over the years and only use fully approved, specialist insulation systems.
A plasterboard backed with rigid insulation is fitted to the inside of your external walls (heat losing walls). The insulation is usually made from one of several forms of foamed plastic. We use a premium PIR 63mm and fix the board wall using continuous ribbons of plaster or adhesive. Extra fixings hold the boards firm, and joints between boards are sealed to prevent air leaking out. Once the insulation has been installed the wall is plastered and left ready for your chosen paint colour so you can create the desired living space and make the room look new and fresh.
